What are your first impressions of Thailand/Bangkok?
Bangkok is unbelievably big and chaotic, but somehow a structure exists within this chaos. For example, on the one hand, there is a lot of traffic, obviously without any rules. But on the other hand, people are waiting very politely and orderly until they can enter the (sky-) train. In my hometown it seems to be the opposite.
Tell us about your studies!
I am studying Business Administration at TU Bergakademie Freiberg in Saxony. It is the oldest university of mining and metallurgy in the world. Since it is a University of Resources, my studies are strongly focused on that, which makes it very special to study there.
How was your first day at GTCC? How is it different from “the first day” at a company in Germany?
It was a really nice first day. I was introduced to all GTCC colleagues and cordially received. At lunchtime, I was sitting on the rooftop garden with the other interns enjoying Thai street food. In my opinion, the difference from my previous internships in Germany is definitely the warm welcome. And of course, in Germany you will never find such a range of lunch options within close proximity of a company like here.
What do you want to do and see during your time here?
As a really spontaneous person, I have no plans yet. But every tip is welcome!
